Tourist attractions in the area include Scone Palace, Glamis Castle, Huntingtower Castle, Elcho Castle, Perth and Dundee. St Andrews with its ancient Cathedral and famous golf courses is only a 45 minute drive drive away. Edinburgh is only a one hour drive and makes for a great day out. In the winter the ski slopes of Glenshee in Perthshire are within easy reach. Golfing is of course a national sport in Scotland and the area offers a range of courses including Rosemount at Blairgowrie, Alyth Golf Club, and Murrayshall Golf Club. Even the Royal and Ancient at St Andrews is only one hour away. Salmon Fishing is also one of the key specialities of the area, and we can help you book that activity, although it is always best to enquire about these well in advance.
The country roads around Kinrossie offer the opportunity for peaceful and varied cycling. Dunsinane Hill is near the village of Kinrossie, and is mentioned in Shakespeare's play Macbeth. The best access to Dunsinane Hill is from the rear of the village of Collace, adjacent to Kinrossie, on the Northern side of Dunsinane Hill, between the village and the quarry. There is a small parking area there suitable for 4 or 5 cars from which a clearly defined path leads directly to the summit.

Location The village of Kinrossie is located less than a mile south of the A94 road, eight miles from Perth and six miles from Coupar Angus.
Directions From the A94 Perth to Coupar Angus road take the exit signposted for Kinrossie. As you enter the village you will see a telephone box to your right, proceed straight ahead past the phone box, and the cottage is the first on your left in Thorngreen Road.
